It also uses all the standard routing and transport protocols you're used to finding in wired Cisco network devices, like DHCP, TCP/IP, UDP/IP, ICMP/IP and IP/Sec. 

Setting up an entirely new wireless network is just as easy as modifying an existing one with the AIR-WLC4402-50-K9. Because it fully supports BOOTP and Quality of Service, you can easily upload your own custom networking rules and then gauge how efficiently they're implemented. A fast Gigabit-Ethernet wired data link and two SFP expansion ports ensure that uplink bottlenecking is never a problem. With the ability to talk to Cisco Aironet access points, the Cisco Wireless Control System and the Cisco Wireless Location Appliance alike, you won't have replace all your hardware to get things going.
