The CISCO1721 is a solid modular router that has been designed with data access in mind, emphasizing speed and security. This device is refurbished. Security: The Cisco 1721 was made for VPNs. It has built-in support for 3DES IPSe and VPN encryption. Stack this onto Cisco’s IOS firewall and IDS software for Fort Knox-like data security. Like every Cisco 1700 series router, it also has an expansion slot that supports an optional hardware VPN encryption module that handles encryption with a RISC processor to provide up to T1/E1 data speeds. 

Speed and Reliability: Cisco built the CISCO1721 with Business-class DSL in mind. It has WICs supporting both ADSL and G.SHDSS. This allows businesses to benefit from the cost effectiveness of DSL while employing several quality of service features to provide the performance required for both high priority and high bandwidth applications. 

Control: Cisco’s IOS Software is fully supported in the CISCO1721.
